To be a successful gurner you have to have a good 'face'. To be a champion requires a little more. Whether you have your own teeth, false teeth or no teeth Face Off shows what it takes to win the title 'The Ugliest Man in the World'.
As the finale to the annual Egremont Crab Fair, the World Gurning Championship claims a lineage back to 1267. Face Off follows the current world champion Tommy 'Wolfman-cum-alien' Mattinson in his quest for immortality as he defends his title against former champions Gordon 'The Face' Blacklock and his own father and ten times champion, Gordon 'Quasi Modo or Sidewinder' Mattinson.
